The family lived in the town of Stitary, Znojmo district in the South Moravian Region of Czech Republic.<br \/>\nThe family owned the Village stores in the village.\u00a0 He was on of 10 children.<br \/>\nThree Siblings survived the Holocaust- Rudolphine, who came to England in 1939, Freda and Pauline who moved to Austria before the war began.<br \/>\nLudwig moved to Prague to work in the Pharmaceutical industry.<br \/>\nWhilst working there he met Stephanie Groger ( 1909-2006)\u00a0 known later as Ruth Kleinova- Well documented Holocaust survivor.<br \/>\nTogether they had one son- Gerhart Furnberg 1927.
