He was employed at a bank and married to Martha Pfeffer n\u00e9e Kraus. The couple had two children: Alena (born 1937) and Ji\u0159ina (born 1941). On 23 July 1942, Erv\u00edn Pfeffer was deported from Prague to Theresienstadt concentration camp, together with his wife and his two daughters with transport AAt (his number on the transport was the 537). From there he was deported to Auschwitz concentration camp on 1 October 1944, with the transport Em (his number on the transport was the 913).
