Arno\u0161t was born in 1889 in Vale\u010d, a village near Karlovy Vary. He graduated from Deutsche Handelsakademie, a German business school in Prague. In 1907 he went to Paris as a German-French secretary and in 1912 he worked as a secretary for the liquor company Camis & Stock in Trieste.<\/p>\n

During the First World War Arno\u0161t served as a supply officer on the Italian front. After demobilization he was employed by another branch of Camis & Stock in Linz where he met Selma and they married there in 1920. He later took a job with the company in Bielsko-Bia\u0142a, Poland.<\/p>\n

While German was his first language, Arno\u0161t was proficient in Czech, French and Italian. His son, Ben, remembered him as a very affectionate father.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
