Ludwig Furnberg born 1903 was the son of Jakub Furnberg and Frantiska Furnberg, nee Kollman. The family lived in the town of Stitary, Znojmo district in the South Moravian Region of Czech Republic.
The family owned the Village stores in the village.  He was on of 10 children.
Three Siblings survived the Holocaust- Rudolphine, who came to England in 1939, Freda and Pauline who moved to Austria before the war began.
Ludwig moved to Prague to work in the Pharmaceutical industry.
Whilst working there he met Stephanie Groger ( 1909-2006)  known later as Ruth Kleinova- Well documented Holocaust survivor.
Together they had one son- Gerhart Furnberg 1927. They lived in Prague until deportation to Terezin.
