Dear Victor, dear Pauline,
we’ve never met, we’ve never even been able to meet. We know very little about you, even that it took only a small effort from distant relatives far across the ocean whom you begged to help you, but the plea went unheeded. There was still hope, but you met the worst fate, not allowing you to live a beautiful and dignified life. We could have met, we could have rejoiced together. Your fate taught us that we must not share senseless hatred, that a timely helping hand can save a life. We remember.
